End of Assignment

End of Assignment

Your assignment with us may end in one of several ways:
  1. You transfer to the end client (contract-to-perm)
    1. You’re on a contract-to-perm agreement with us and will be joining the end client as a permanent employee — congratulations!
    2. Please notify us via email as soon as you have signed the contract with the client. We need this to formally close your agreement.
    3. Our Finance Department will provide you with a final statement (typically within 2–4 weeks after your last working day with us). This includes:
      1. A (re)calculation of your holiday balance
      2. Any outstanding expenses
      3. Your final payslip
  2. The client (prematurely) ends your assignment or chooses not to extend it
    1. The first thing we’ll do is try to find you a new assignment.
    2. Officially, we are required to give you notice (typically one month), and we’ll also coordinate with the client on a professional exit.
    3. If no new assignment is found, Finance will issue a final statement (typically within 2–4 weeks after your last working day). This includes:
      1. A (re)calculation of your holiday balance
      2. Any outstanding expenses
      3. Your final payslip
      4. In many cases, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits. Please visit the UWV website for more information about eligibility requirements.
  3. You (prematurely) end your assignment or choose not to extend
    1. Please provide official notice — email is sufficient.
    2. We’d like to schedule a conversation to discuss what happened and how we can conclude the contract professionally with the client.
    3. Finance will issue a final statement (typically within 2–4 weeks after your last working day), including:
    4. A (re)calculation of your holiday balance
    5. Any outstanding expenses
    6. Your final payslip
Please note: You are not entitled to unemployment benefits if you end the assignment voluntarily.

Important: For non-EU nationals (highly skilled migrants)
If you are a non-EU national and ITSync is your recognized sponsor for your visa, please take note of the following:
  1. We can only remain your sponsor if we have an active employment agreement with you. Once your contract ends, our sponsorship also ends as of that date.
  2. If you become unemployed, you may be eligible for a search period of up to 3 months to find a new job as a highly skilled migrant.
  3. This search period cannot exceed the validity of your residence permit.
  4. If your permit expires earlier, the search period will be shorter.
  5. The search period begins on the date your employment contract is officially terminated.
If your residence permit remains valid for the full 3-month period:
  1. The IND will send you a notice of intended withdrawal of your permit.
  2. If you do not secure a new job as a highly skilled migrant within the search period, the IND will revoke your permit as of the last day of the search period.
If you do find a new position within 3 months:
  1. The IND will not revoke your residence permit.
  2. You or your new employer must notify the IND of your new role.
  3. All conditions for the highly skilled migrant residence permit must still be met.
